Jenny Tarr is an artist who lives in the South Coast, UK. Her practice is rooted in drawing - gestural line, pared-back colour, and quiet observation. Working in paint, inks, charcoal and pastels, she builds portraits from quick, decisive marks; faces and bodies are reduced to rhythm and suggestion. She draws people - faces, bodies, small gestures - asking how we express ourselves, and how we see and are seen.
